This is to inform that the Permanent Representation of the Russian Federation to the Council of Europe has recently launched a new Web site. Its address is: http://www.russiaeurope.mid.ru

The language of the site is English.

The new site presents the official Russian position on the issues of the Council of Europe agenda. Special attention will be paid to actual political questions the Council deals with.

It also contains conceptual documents of general character on the Russian foreign and internal policy. Among them you will find "Development Strategy to the Year 2010", "2000 National Security Concept", "Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation" as well as "The Russian Federation - Concept of the World in the 21st Century".

In addition, selected key speeches and articles of the President of the Russian Federation, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and other top Government officials could be found on the site.

A number of useful links enables to consult other sites, in particular the sites of major Russian State bodies, Moscow Center on the Council of Europe Information and Documentation as well as the sites of some Russian mass media institutions.
